New appointment with the column on the penultimate Thursday of the month, dedicated to ten new words found in the various books I read, words never heard of, disused or forgotten. In this issue the words are taken from the Cuore books by Edmondo De Amicis, from the collection of Carnevale stories by AA.VV. and Cormac McCarthy's Son of God . Regolizia : found on page 32 of the novel Cuore by Edmondo De Amicis. It is the name used to indicate liquorice. Now out of use. Atanor : found on page 141 of the collection of Carnival stories by AA.VV. It is missing in the dictionary, but it is an Arabic term meaning oven, even if it hides other meanings.
